ISK offers standard college-prep American curriculum using American textbooks and English-speaking, university trained instructors. ISK offers music, art, computers, and physical education classes for all grades in addition to the core curriculum. Dari, Spanish, and German are offered as foreign language instruction. Honors English 11/12, AP Calculus, and higher level science and math classes are also offered. Future plans include college credit courses through the American University of Afghanistan. ISK uses Stanford materials for assessing English proficiency, college readiness, and overall academic progress.

ISK is pursuing accreditation with Middle States Accreditation Association (New England, USA), and should be fully accredited by the beginning of the 2008-2009 school year.

We have an experienced guidance counselor on staff with contacts and experience to help place students in universities in America, other western countries, the Middle East, as well as in schools in Kabul. Financing for university is the responsibility of the student and his/her family, but ISK can give some guidance in seeking financial assistance from other sources.

Some of the universities where our graduating students have been accepted include Richmond University (USA), London Metropolitan University, Richmond University of London, American University of Paris, American University of Afghanistan, American University of Dubai, Beaconhouse National University (Lahore), Canisius College (USA), and the Asian College of Journalism (India)
