  • Welcome to the International School of Kabul!
The International School of Kabul (ISK) is an English-based
K4-Grade 12 school located in Kabul, Afghanistan.

ISK is the only school in Kabul that can be attended by both the expatriate and local communities, and our faculty and administration relishes the opportunity to be a melting pot of cultures and people groups in this city.

Our school was founded as a coeducational institute to support the rebuilding and development of Afghanistan by serving four major groups: both local Afghan families and those who are returning from living outside the country, the international aid community, the diplomatic community, and international business families.

Currently, our student makeup is 60% Afghan and 40% expatriate, with the expatriate families coming from 26 different countries. 61% of our students are male, 39% are female. There are 128 students in our elementary (K4 – Grade 6) grades, and 130 students in grades 7-12. The school is operated by OASIS International Schools, which is based in the United States. OASIS and its partners have founded and operated over 20 schools worldwide.
